Terms & Conditions

 

How to book

 

This is a Self-Catering Holiday home, individual rooms cannot be booked, the booking is for the entire house. The maximum occupancy is for 8 people.

 

To confirm the booking we require a deposit (normally it's 30% of the total price although there are a few exceptions where a higher deposit is payable).

If your holiday commences in less than two weeks full payment will be due when you book.

If you haven't already told us, we will also need to know:

Your postal address

A telephone number we can contact you on (ideally a mobile number, especially if you will be travelling with it)

The number in your party and children's ages.

The passport numbers of all members of your party (a requirement under Spanish law).

 

As soon as we have received your deposit, we will send you a Confirmation of Booking, showing details of your reservation, the amount paid, the balance due for payment and when it is due. So that you have the most up to date information, we will also send you maps and directions to your holiday home and any other relevant information two weeks before your arrival date. We send all of this information by email.

 

Any outstanding balance is normally due two weeks before the commencement of your holiday. 

 

How to pay

 

By bank transfer - you can pay by bank transfer (your bank might charge you something for making the transfer). Our bank details are available on request.

Once we have received the monies into the bank accout we will confirm your booking. 

Cancellation

 

Any cancellation must be notified to us in writing (this includes e-mail) by the person who has contracted the holiday. Please note that any such notification is only deemed to have been received by us when we confirm that we have received it.

If such notification is received more than 15 days before the holiday commencement date, only the bank charges will be retained by us. Otherwise, the following charges apply, which are based on the expenses and charges suffered by us as a result of cancellation: 15 days  o less before arrival  100%.

Please note that we strongly recommend that all members of the holiday party obtain appropriate travel and personal insurance cover, which should enable you to recover monies paid to us in the event of cancellation due to ill health etc.

 

Amendments

 

If the guest wishes to alter or amend the booking, we will always do our best to comply with the request.

Occasionally a change may have to be made by us to confirmed arrangements after a booking has been made. If a major change becomes necessary which we consider could seriously affect the enjoyment of the holiday home, we will give the guest the option of accepting the changed arrangements, or a cancellation of the holiday cottage with full refund of all monies paid.

 

Responsibilities

 

The guest is responsible for the house while occupying the property and is expected to take reasonable care of it and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition. Any damages are the responsibility of the guest, and will be deducted from the compulsory deposit .

 

Complaints

 

We do not wish to have dissatisfied customers but in the event that you (the guest) are not entirely satisfied with the service offered, you should inform the owner immediately so that they can rectify the problem.

 

Health

 

While personal insurance for accident, illness and injury is highly recommended, European Union nationals please note that national health service is provided to them free of charge in Spain. However, in order to benefit from this free service, they must bring with them a European Health Card.

 

Law and Jurisdiction

 

These conditions and terms of contract and all matters arising therefrom, are subject to Spanish Law and to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts.

 

 

Contract

 

If you make a booking with Casa Rural Valle Rudrón, a binding contract will come into existence when we issue and send you a written Confirmation of Booking. Your contract with us will be governed by Spanish law and subject to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts of law. The contract is made with the person named on the Confirmation of Booking, who must be over 18, and who is deemed responsible for informing all members of the party about all matters relating to the holiday.

 

Payment

 

Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of the appropriate deposit payment (emailed proof of transfer thereof). Upon receipt of the appropriate deposit payment, a Confirmation of Booking will be issued detailing the total cost of the holiday, the amount paid and how much remains to be paid (the final payment). The final payment must be paid two weeks before commencement of the holiday. If it is not paid on time we reserve the right to cancel the booking, retain the deposit and apply cancellation charges as described below.

 

Party Size

 

Under no circumstances any more than the maximum number of persons (including children) as stated in the property description occupy the property, except by prior written agreement with us. Failure to observe this condition is deemed to constitute a cancellation of the booking by the guest and Casa Rural Valle Rudrón and the property owner reserve the right to refuse admittance or terminate the booking and apply the appropriate cancellation charges. Guests wishing to bring pets must ask prior permission as domestic animals are not allowed at the property.
